The acracy
is the political system of Hôdons.
The idea is developed in the novels of the Pioneers of Hôdo. The pioneers of Hôdo were each one representatives of various political, military, economic, religious powers. The first human colony was to be a as the often fanaticized ideal that each one defended, and who was rejected, at least, by half of the other colonists. But above all, it was necessary to survive. Initially, the colonists put up with the very hierarchical structure of the astronauts, more adapted to survival in medium, if not hostile, at least inhospitable. The chief of the trek proposed a charter, the "ten commandments" which were to ensure the cohabitations of the pioneers. That law was the only one, but an absolute must. It was to make it possible each Hôdon to live according to its convictions without however harm the others.
What characterizes the acracy, is the absence of any kind of power allotted to hierarchy of any type.
Hôdo is a hyper federation bringing together small units, called clans, composed of about eight people. These clans join between them for various reasons, mainly by affinity or need. Than, there are at least two pyramids joining together Hôdons, one social, the functional.
The hierarchy has only two roles: to coordinate the efforts of each one to build Hôdo, and to take care of "the good vicinity" while respecting the diversity of Hôdons.
