Each time alive and intelligent beings share resources, a protocol is established.
The legend of Hôdo stays intentionnally rather vague the traditions which is subdivided into three ages.
The first "prehôdon" results from original culture of the colonists (a thousand of varieties at the beginning).
The second was imposed by the conditions of the trek and the establishment of the pioneers.
This period resulted in the introduction of the charter and the birth of the mediation, the diplomacy, the total disease prevention and the ecology.
The mediation was ensured by craftsmen often called "mediums" which worked to dissipate the misunderstandings and others various relational problems.
When the problems were too difficult to solve, they could ask the assistance of the "astros" more specialized as the "psy-socios".
There was no legal system: each conflict was resolved individually, in the respect for the charter.
The diplomacy laid down the rules to know how to behave for all Hôdons.
It recorded also the history of the evolution of the planet, the reasons for choices and especially the causes of failure.
Total disease prevention related to as well physical health as psychic.
It was the keystone of the hôdon civilisation.
As for ecology, it formed integral part of manners.
This period had important political consequences.
Hôdons regarded their planet as a ship which one spares the resources.
Indeed, Hôdons adopted a politics common to everybody.
It was acratic: i.e. without centralized power.
But, following the example of a starship, the control of the planet was entrusted to the "astros" charged to preserve the swell-being of all the population.
In addition, the politics of consumption was ecologically regarded as unhealthy.
The hôdon traditions join together the rules relating to user-friendliness, of the cohabitation within the groups, between them, and in general, with any form of intelligence.
The third and last age is the hôdon etiquette.
This tradition distinguishes oneself mainly by:
the search for consensus unanimously.
the use of random for all decisions to be taken which does not obtain the consensus (from where the use of the die with ten faces).
the respect of the word, essential in a acratic system. To reconsider a decision is obviously normal, but requires a new consensus.
A charter of right is useless in a acratic system which does not allot privileged power to anybody.
Hôdons are claiming not to be equal in rights, but equal in power and duty.
the absence of rights, except that of the avoidance.
The absence of political economics, replaced by that of planetary economics.
For its well-being, each Hôdon depends on the ability and competences of others.
In exchange, the others expect one's services, if not, use the right to the avoidance.
As the services are not necessarily directly exchangeable, Hôdons consider that those which are valid and healthy of spirit contribute anyway to the enrichment of everyone.
A Hôdon recognized as parasite, is supported by the community but is held to be medicaly treated.
Temporal freedom allow each one to organize throughout its life the kind and the intensity of its activity.
The traditions do not have continuation like the charter, and evolve more or less quickly.
Contrary to the standards, the traditions are not necessarily recorded. |
